Exotica Steel India

Warranty Policy

Exotica Steel India stands behind the quality and workmanship of its products. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage, exclusions, and claim process applicable to products sold under Exotica Steel India and its brands, including GSP Cookware and GSP Houseware.

01

Warranty Coverage

Eligible products are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal household use.

The warranty period, where applicable, will be the period stated on the product packaging, warranty card, catalogue, invoice, or authorised product listing. If no warranty period is expressly stated, no additional contractual warranty shall be assumed beyond the rights available under applicable law.

Warranty coverage begins from the original date of purchase.

02

What Is Covered

Subject to inspection and approval, the warranty may cover:

  • Manufacturing defects in the body or construction of the product
  • Separation or failure of bonded layers in Triply cookware
  • Defective handle or knob fitting caused by a manufacturing fault
  • Cracks or structural defects present under normal recommended use
  • Any other defect expressly covered in the product’s warranty card or invoice

The warranty applies only when the product has been used, cleaned, and maintained according to the instructions supplied with it.

03

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Scratches, stains, discolouration, watermarks, or changes in surface appearance
  • Loss of shine or polishing caused by regular use or cleaning
  • Food burning, sticking, or staining caused by improper temperature control
  • Damage caused by overheating, dry heating, thermal shock, or prolonged exposure to flame
  • Warping caused by overheating, misuse, or use on an unsuitable cooktop
  • Damage caused by dropping, impact, accident, negligence, or improper storage
  • Damage caused by abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, bleach, oven cleaners, or unsuitable cleaning agents
  • Rust, corrosion, or pitting caused by improper washing, prolonged soaking, salt deposits, or failure to dry the product
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repair, modification, or alteration
  • Loose handles, knobs, or fittings resulting from ordinary use where routine tightening is required
  • Glass-lid breakage caused by impact, thermal shock, improper handling, or accidental damage
  • Damage caused during transportation after delivery has been accepted without recording visible damage
  • Products purchased from an unauthorised seller or without valid proof of purchase
  • Products used contrary to the supplied instructions
  • Commercial, institutional, HORECA, rental, or industrial use unless such use is expressly covered in writing
  • Clearance, surplus, lot, promotional, or “as-is” products unless a warranty is specifically mentioned on the invoice
  • Counterfeit products or products whose identification marks have been removed or altered

Minor variations in colour, finish, weight, dimensions, polishing, or appearance resulting from manufacturing processes do not constitute manufacturing defects unless they materially affect the product’s intended use.

04

Product-Specific Conditions

Triply Cookware

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the bonded construction of the cookware, subject to proper usage.

Surface discolouration, rainbow marks, food stains, scratches, or sticking caused by excessive heat, insufficient oil, improper seasoning, or incorrect cleaning are not manufacturing defects.

Stainless Steel Products

Minor scratches, water spots, polishing variations, and discolouration may occur during normal use. These conditions do not affect performance and are not covered unless they result from a confirmed manufacturing defect.

Cast-Iron Cookware

Cast-iron products require regular seasoning and proper drying. Rust, seasoning loss, colour variation, or surface changes caused by moisture, storage, or maintenance are not covered.

Glass Lids and Accessories

Glass lids, handles, knobs, screws, packaging, and detachable accessories are treated as consumable or replaceable components unless a manufacturing defect is reported and confirmed.

Imported and Third-Party Products

Imported or third-party products are covered only according to the warranty expressly provided for that specific product on its invoice, packaging, or warranty card.

05

Eligibility Requirements

To submit a warranty claim, the customer must provide:

  • Original purchase invoice or valid proof of purchase
  • Product name, size, and model, where applicable
  • Clear photographs and videos showing the claimed defect
  • Photograph of the complete product
  • Batch number, product label, or packaging details, if available
  • Description of how and when the issue occurred
  • Customer’s name, phone number, and complete address

Products received as gifts must be supported by the original purchase invoice.

07

Inspection and Resolution

Every claim is subject to inspection and verification by Exotica Steel India or its authorised representative.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Exotica Steel India may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product;
  • Replace the defective part;
  • Replace the product with the same or an equivalent product; or
  • Offer another appropriate resolution as permitted by applicable law.

If the original product or model is unavailable, a product of similar function and value may be offered.

Replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period. The replacement product will remain covered only for the unexpired portion of the original warranty, unless otherwise required by law.

08

Shipping and Inspection Costs

The customer may be required to send the product to the designated service or inspection location.

Shipping, handling, inspection, or collection costs will be communicated before the product is dispatched. If the claim is approved as a valid manufacturing defect, Exotica Steel India will determine the applicable reimbursement or replacement arrangement.

If inspection confirms that the issue is outside warranty coverage, repair, replacement, and transportation costs may be charged to the customer after prior communication.

09

Transit Damage and Incorrect Supply

Visible transit damage, shortage, or incorrect supply should be reported immediately upon delivery and within the period mentioned on the invoice or delivery terms.

The customer should:

  • Record the issue on the transporter’s delivery receipt;
  • Take clear photographs and an unboxing video;
  • Retain the original packaging; and
  • Contact Exotica Steel India or the authorised seller promptly.

Transit-related complaints may be rejected if the goods were accepted without recording visible damage or if sufficient evidence is unavailable.

10

Purchases Through Dealers or Online Marketplaces

Products purchased from an authorised dealer, distributor, retailer, or online marketplace should normally be reported first to the original seller.

The seller may require the invoice, order details, images, videos, and product inspection before processing the request. Marketplace purchases may also be governed by the marketplace’s return and replacement policy.

11

Business and Bulk Orders

For distributors, wholesalers, retailers, exporters, institutional customers, and other business buyers, warranty and claim conditions stated in the quotation, proforma invoice, purchase order, supply agreement, or tax invoice will take priority where applicable.

Claims relating to quantity, visible damage, specification, finish, size, weight, or packing must be raised within the inspection period stated in the applicable commercial document.

12

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Exotica Steel India will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, food, or commercial opportunity arising from the use or inability to use a product.

The company’s maximum responsibility under this warranty will ordinarily be limited to the repair, replacement, or purchase value of the defective product, as applicable.

13

Consumer Rights

This Warranty Policy is in addition to, and does not exclude or restrict, any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable Indian law.

Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.

14

Policy Updates

Exotica Steel India may update this Warranty Policy when required. The policy applicable on the original purchase date will ordinarily govern the claim, subject to applicable law and the specific terms stated on the product invoice or warranty card.
